Following up from my last oil tips about Lemon oil and its place in Ayurveda, I thought I'd talk about Ayurveda from a more personal perspective.
The three main natures or doshas are vata, pitta, and kapha.
Vata is light, quick, adaptable
Pitta is sharp, strong, active
Kapha is heavy, slow, persistent
From the Mind-Body Type Quiz I linked in my last Oil Tip Tuesday post, and from exploring Ayurveda through yoga teacher training, I have discovered that my mind dosha is primarily Vata, meaning I love beginning new things but sometimes have a hard time following through with them. I thrive in an active environment but can become overwhelmed.
When I am balanced, I am happy and full of life.
When I am out of balance, I am nervous, anxious, and discontent.
